ROW offers a full day fly fishing float trip on this beautiful Western Montana river that begins its course near Butte MT and flows northwest approximately 275 miles, where it eventually feeds into Lake Pend Orielle in North Idaho. The Section we fish is from the Tarkio boat ramp down through the town of St. Regis.
The Clark Fork offers excellent rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout fishing only 100 miles East of Coeur d'Alene on I-90. The Clark Fork is known for holding fish in excess of 20 inches, and our professional guides will be sure to put you in ideal locations with effective flies in order to make your trip a success.
Dry-fly fishing can be phenomenal on this Montana gem, with hatches including stone flies, may flies, caddis, and terrestrials. March Brown, Baetis and Skwala hatches are plentiful in the spring. Summer months often see excellent Green Drake, Golden Stone, PMD and Caddis hatches. Early fall is a great time for dry fly fishing as well, with Mahoganies, Caddis, and Fall Drakes being common hatches. Nymph and streamer fishing is productive year round and is an excellent way to hook into a "trophy" Montana trout.
